Simple Quinoa - Pressure Cooked

After the Quinoa Adai , this is the only recipe I liked with quinoa (out of some weird trials :) )The recipe is adapted from a cookery show to the  ingredients I had at the moment. Had it with Bell Pepper Pachadi and liked it better.


Ingredients:
Quinoa - 1 cup
Water - 1 and 3/4 cups
Tomato - 1 small
Cilantro
Ginger
Turmeric powder
Lemon

To Splutter:
Mustard seeds
Urad dal
Channa dal
Cumin seeds
Red Chillies

Procedure:
  • Pressure cook the quinoa upto 3 whistles with the water and keep it aside to cool
  • In a pan heat oil and splutter items to splutter, add tomatoes, ginger (freshly grated), turmeric powder and saute until the raw tomatoes gets cooked well
  • Add the copped cilantro and saute. Squeeze few drops of lemon.
  • To this, add the cooked quinoa and enjoy the simple, healthy meal :)
