Review and Giveaway : COPY KIDS DVD

I would like to start by thanking CAI for selecting me to review their amazing children's DVD and for being kind to giveaway a DVD to one of my readers :)

DVD Value $19.95

About COPY KIDS (from their PR):
COPY-KIDS MEDIA, an independent media company, presents its debut DVD. Copy-Kids Eat Fruits and Vegetables is the first DVD in a series designed to encourage healthy habits in young children. This series is for children aged six months to 5 years.

My Perspective:
The concept behind the DVD is to get the children eat fruits and vegetables by watching other kids do so. We all know that any kid would and will imitate other kids while playing, eating... well... almost all the time. I've found my kid (20 months old) do that. I've seen him eat certain food/ do certain activity just by watching other kids. That is why I got interested in this particular DVD. Don't we all want our kids to eat the fruits and vegetables ? :)

My Take on the DVD:
One word - it WORKS like a miracle. The first time I played the DVD there was a big ear-to-ear smile from the kid :) He enjoyed watching the kids eat in the video. I said it works because, for the first time after watching the DVD he not only asked for a banana, he ate it himself. Before this, he'd never held a banana or fed himself.

Apart from the kids eating, the DVD also features Dr. Jay Gordon, famous pediatrician  answering questions on children nutrition and eating habits... the kind questions we all would like to hear answered from our pediatrician.

Watch the DVD preview here Don't miss the the comments section from the mommies.. real life experiences.

Awards and Accolades for the DVD:
One from Dr. Toy: http://www.drtoy.com/product-view/?productid=119

One from MACThttp://www.award-winning-healthy-child-products.com/2012/03/19/copy-kids-wins-the-prestigious-mact-excellence-award/

They were approved by the USDA and added to their Education and Training Materials Database for pre-school nutrition:

Charming Charlie finds :)

Aren't we all super excited to shop for jewelry :)? Even window shopping (without buying anything) is like a therapy don't you think :) To refresh minds!

Anyway its real nice to write about it.. not so practical with a kid! I always make an online research on my little available time on what to buy and where to buy and hit only 1 or 2 stores when we visit the mall.

Charming Charlie is one such stop. Its a fashion jewelry shop. This time luckily I visited the shop during a good sale on the SALE items. These were Buy 1 get 2 free! Each piece was on sale for $3. Soooo.. good find don't you think? :)

The black metal hoop like earrings were Originally $6.97
The retro blue ones were $5.97 and
The anklet - I don't remember..

But all three were $3 on sale. Apart from sale, the whole store is a real treat to the eyes (If you have time :) ) I've never seen around the whole shop as such.. just a part of it. Its color co-ordinated....like... you can find greens together, yellows together... etc. If you have one in your place sure pay a visit!

DISCLAIMER: I'm not sponsored by the shop or reviewing the shop/products. All the products mentioned here were bought by me and is purely my own view of it.

Dynamic layout update N twitter account

Do you guys like the dynamic layout for the blog?? I wanted to try out something fresh and.. well... dynamic for this summer :) There is a drop down list to the top left corner of this blog where you can choose different styles to view the posts.. Its quite interesting! See the different looks in my blog if you are interested in changing yours... and want to have a idea of how it looks...

And there is a sliding list to the right side of the blog where you can find the archives, friends, labels, etc.. I wish I could stop the slide.. Will check out about that.. So how is summer for you??

I finished my last post here... I just wanted to update in the same post instead of writing a new one. The dynamic layout is very interesting! Although there are some compromises like placing a side bar pic or link that can be found easily..! I think certain gadgets cannot be placed as we do in the normal layout like pageviews, maps, etc... But I'm okay with that..

You may notice that I added a pic now... (This was grill @ a friend's place) I put this pic up, because the particular style/view of dynamic blog that I had - "snapshot" din't show the post with out a pic.. but other views did.. even without a pic.. so you see.. LEARNING :)
The coolest part is....  It is interactive and gives a sophisticated look :)

P.S. I added a twitter account and email account to the top tabs. Check it out!

Have a beautiful day! :)

Father's day kids activity

This was an activity planned by my friend on father's day for the kids. She ordered customized aprons for all the dad's and had the kids print their hands and write, draw to their dad's. As well prepared and planned as S is.. she had got all the paint, fabric pens, sheets, etc.. The kids enjoyed doing this!

Isn't it a nice way to engage kids? :))
