Spicy potato curry

This is a super easy, spicy potato curry.. for your quick fix lunch with curd rice.

Number of servings: 3 - 4
Red Potatoes - 5
Garlic (shredded) - 2 big pods
Red chilli powder - 1 spoon
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Amchur powder - a pinch
Lemon - just a bit to add the tangy taste

To temper:
Mustard seeds
Urad dal


  • Cut the potatoes and microwave for 3 minutes (to cook faster)
  • Heat oil in a kadai and splutter items to temper. Add the garlic and potatoes and saute
  • Add the powders and salt and sprinkle water and cook until done
  • Squeeze a bit of lemon to add the tangy taste and switch off


  1. This is a new recipe..nice twist to usual potato curry by the addition of garlic
